So I went over to the dark side a good 2.5 years ago, parked up the Golf and started driving the Mini. I've always kept the old girl dry, warm and safe - and just figured I didn't
need to sell her - as it wasn't exactly going to depreciate.
So I held on, drove it round a little from time to time - but despite it being parked in a locked, underground car park with 24x7 security - someone still tried to nick it. A botched attempt (albeit carefully done) at drilling the drivers door lock - and a screwdriver in the boot lock. They didn't get in, but that was it for me. I couldn't keep it safe, and didn't want it joyridden and burnt out somewhere.
So I got the car MOT'ed, few tiny jobs and it flew through with flying colours. Moved the car to be stored at my house - and looked at the poor thing day after day for the past 4 months being sat up. And I think its time I let go.
So .... I've actually made the effort to try and sell it, its listed on here and on Ebay, with no reserve. Its got to go - otherwise its just going to sit and rot on my driveway.
