So I went over to the dark side a good 2.5 years ago, parked up the Golf and started driving the Mini. I've always kept the old girl dry, warm and safe - and just figured I didn't need to sell her - as it wasn't exactly going to depreciate.

So I held on, drove it round a little from time to time - but despite it being parked in a locked, underground car park with 24x7 security - someone still tried to nick it. A botched attempt (albeit carefully done) at drilling the drivers door lock - and a screwdriver in the boot lock. They didn't get in, but that was it for me. I couldn't keep it safe, and didn't want it joyridden and burnt out somewhere.

So I got the car MOT'ed, few tiny jobs and it flew through with flying colours. Moved the car to be stored at my house - and looked at the poor thing day after day for the past 4 months being sat up. And I think its time I let go.

So .... I've actually made the effort to try and sell it, its listed on here and on Ebay, with no reserve. Its got to go - otherwise its just going to sit and rot on my driveway.

I'm hoping my long standing membership and super helpful guides (;)) let me get away with a post in this section to link to Ebay ...

So, now on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121132358290

I'll still pop back here from time to time, but this love affair is over

Part of me hopes it doesn't sell! Then I've got an excuse to keep it

I never bothered to sell it! (Other than the post in here).

It was an odd change driving a car that required weekly tinkering, to having something that I don't even need to touch at all.

All I've done on the Mini is ball joints, rear bushes, suspension struts, oil/filter and disks/pads. Its pretty darn reliable - and dry! Maybe when I get nostalgic and older I'll get one again!

Yeah, didn't make too much effort for a sale!

The car still has cobwebs on it from when it was parked up

Yeah erm ... after a sale price of £800 ... I've decided to hold on to the car a bit longer.

I'll put it back to OEM - get it cleaned up. Then go from there.
