Brand new set of ABT badged Golf R style brakes. Bargain price for new ones.

Hi bought a set of these brakes arrived as described with all the hoses, brackets etc but now wondering if the mounting clips and the connection for the brake wear indicator will be correct as the kit is for a mk5 gti not a mk6. Anyone know is there is any difference between the R32 brakes and the R brakes?

Had the ABT brake kit fitted today and fitted without any issues. Still one kit for sale on EBay bargain considering Awesome GTI want over eight hundred quid for the same kit without stainless brake lines.

Have you got a picture of them fitted? Do they go on the mk6 with no problems?

I only have the 17" wheels on mine so very wary if they will fit or not.............

I think you will need a minimum of 18"s for clearance.

No photo's at the minute but they are the same brakes fitted to the Golf R32 and R all the parts are made by VW the only difference is they have ABT on the front of them instead of the R decal.  Doubt these brakes would fit under 17" wheels as there is not a lot of space left between the disc and the rim with 18" Monza Shadows.

17" Monzas will clear the R/ABT/S3 front brake setup, the A3 3.2 uses the exact brake setup and in sport spec comes with 17" wheels as standard, I've also ran 17s over the S3 setup on my old ed30 with no issues :)

I'm running this set up and it's superb, scene queens have mocked the disk size but seriously nice feel to these and nice and light, you need a 3mm spacer to run these on Watkins Glens

Car doesn't feel over braked
