Ebay ones don't work, look cheap then they are cheap and too good to be true, go to ilexa.co.uk and buy VCDS, it works brilliantly across all VAG cars, it allows you to do lots of things other than read codes, I adjusted the diff setting on our Fabia VRS for a track day and then returned the settings afterwards.

Well worth the investment and you can let people know that you have it and make a little money back off it by scanning your mates cars too.

Get what you pay for

is that not to do with the software you download and not the cable??

Yes, the correct cable gives you access to the Ross Tech or VCDS, the cable has some sort of identifying component in there that makes it work, similar I guess to a dongle on certain types of licenced software.

I am really happy with the investment and have already recovered the about 50% of the cost from friends and family with VAG cars, not to mention what I have saved by using it myself.

This one is excellent, Connects 1st time every time, Great quality cable compared to the blue ones,

This is a fully working version and you can use all Vagcom functions.
