Well getting to the end of my journey with this golf it has faults and I just don't feel in the mood to fix it any more so here is what I feel I should do.
If i sell it as it is with all the extra's and with tt comps fully re furbed etc. then I'd want £1400 no offers even with problems
If I put it back to as original as I can then I'd want £700-£800 and sell the parts on.

2. Full service history up to 2011 all stamped in book - i then serviced myself and replaced any parts needed with oem quality parts
3. MOT till 9th october

6. Comes with Audi TT competition wheels with 4 legal tyres or standard longbeach wheels with tyres

11. Some decent coilovers which are not that bouncy and can still be adjusted (i think) last time i done it waas around 6 months ago the ride height at mo is about 80-90 and dosn't rub on full lock!
12. Richbrock alli Gearstick with new leather gaitor.
13. CaT 1 alarm system and immobiliser still with certificate for insurance.
14. Grooved disks all round with green stuff pads ( some may need replacing soon!)
15. New battery with 3 years warranty now 6 months old
16. New top mounts and bearings 3 or so weeks ago!
17. both rear engine mounts we're replaced within last month newest being done last weekend ( front engine mount done at the end of last summer so still pretty new aswell!)
18. brand new starter motor Just before xmas.
19. One off custom air intake and catch can install courtesy of forge Motorsport !
20. Electric windows work
21. It currently has a pioneer dvd flip up stereo however screen has stopped working so another stereo will be supplied aswell Also have fly 6 speaker and two tweater components front and rear. ( no 6x9's parcel shelf is uncut! ) Also has a 1200watt sony explode sub in the boot screws to mdf under a freshly cleaned boot carpet.
22. Air con still works and makes things very cold ( there is no sunroof on this car)
23. Front strut brace (just received today and will be put on at weekend)
24. Momo flat bottom 280mm steering wheel

26. Has flown through last two mot's in my owner ship and previous owner ship as shown from last mot certs
27. No rust underneath all drainage holes have been welded up prior to any corrosion happening ( i do this with all golfs regardless if they need it all not!) Sills are good one needed welding for last years MOT that's it (my fault as jacked it up wrong)
28. Sports CAT and cat back stainless by powerflow has a nice sound not stupid loud. ( last weekend i changed the oval shape exhaust for a twin exit back box)
29. Tinted rear screen clear front and rear side windows! Rust free tailgate
30. I added fog lights to this car as previous owner put in the switch i did wire them up and they we're working but for some reason are no longer working
31. Tailor made GTi mats with red pipe stitching ( drivers side is starting to show wear)
32. Chrome door pulls inside and chrome heater controls (originals supplied with car)
33. I have seen this car upto 40mpg on trip and mostly sat at 32mpg on a 10 mile trip to work every morning
34. My speedo is 1-2 miles out from 3 different sat nav read outs and I can tell you this thing can still shift 140mph+
35. Last summer i stripped both my front hubs and replaced with new wheel bearing abs rings and abs sensors check my progress thread in link for pics
36. It has an original vr6 splitter which is showing signs of wear on the bottom edge but then it has had lots of stick and is still very good
37. I have loads of spares and original equipment to go with this car including set of standard alloys spare inlet manifold and all trimmings which have been replaced!
38. Hella quad headlights with cross hairs in side lights, Come with 8000k HID kits (which passed MOT)
There maybe more good things but that's all i can think of for now now the bad bits!
1. Gearbox is showing signs of wear when cold you get a little grind into second now this really is when stone cold 5 miles down road all is fine all gears still pull well and no gears pop out and the clutch does not slip!
2. Patch of rust near drivers door in an odd position not your normal place think someone must have bumped it can do a diy sort of job on this if wanted.
3. Needs two new ABS sensors on rear (has had a rescent ABS issue which I have sort of fixed with the ecu (also comes with spare ecu and pump) If the ABS light worked it would be on
4. Needs a coolant change i havn't got round to this due to weather and working
currently it is quite mucky but does stay at constant level and has antifreeze so doesn't freeze
5. Will need a tyre at the front on drivers side due to rubbing on my old wheels inside wall is damaged abit still useable though!
6. Front brakes could be warped slightly however could just be to do with the ABS sensors kicking it on and off ( I don't really know
)
7. Doesn't mention cam belt in the service book however it may or may not have been done another job on my list but yet again time hasn't been on my side lately
So all this can easily be fixed and another £200-£300 should see this car back to the top. Not many 3 door 16v's being sold at the Mo especially not as well looked after as mine. It hasn't let me down apart from when battery died
It's been very reliable for me I use it for long journeys in fact will be going down to Southampton on Saturday with it to see my sisters no probs
I really don't want to sell it but i need to move on and would like a mk2 now or a corrado or even contemplating a r32
If I sell as standard none of the above will be available apart from exhaust and interior!
