Swapping brakes as well
« on: 30 May 2013, 13:42 »
So, when I eventually get round to swapping the engines in the golf and bora will I need to change the servos and ABS system? Will it be worth swapping disc and callipers as well? The bora is a 1.8t sport and the estate is 1600 se.

servo and ABS are likely to be the same. The bora will have the 288mm setup whereas the 1.6 will run the 280mm setup.

The 288mm setup will allow you to fit the Anni/TT/S3 312mm setup with a carrier change later down the line if desired :)

If you're changing all that you might as well just drop the subframe taking all the hubs, etc with you and transfer the lot over including a thicker ARB
