Very smart and looks like a clean motor.

I have had mine 08 plate ( also Silver 5 door ) for 6 months now. When I collected mine it looked like a new car, absolutely spotless, much like yours with the same mileage. I did a fair bit of research and have done the following :

Replaced Radio/CD with Kenwood Nav and BT unit, also added under seat subwoofer. Kenwood unit still looks OEM but sound quality is 100 times better. Still on original speakers as well. Cost £900

New Forge DV
Performance Air Filter
Stage1 REVO remap
Tarox drilled and grooved discs
Yellow Stuff pads all round

This transformed the car completely. It became a diifferent car. It is still very docile, much, much smoother and mpg has improved slightly. Acceleration is amazing and mid range pull just makes me laugh out loud every time. on the motorway a flick of the right foot and you are proppelled forward. If you have ever been overtaken or blown away on a straight by a motorbike then the ED30 is that motorbike. Recommend you do this. Cost £1500. Forced me to look around for insurance and my premium actually went down.

Vredstein Wintrac Tyres and new 18inch alloy set : Cost £800. Put these on for 4 months over winter and I had a car which could go anywhere in the snow.

6 months ago I was looking at a new135iM which would have been around £32k.

For less than half that I have a car that will keep up with anything on the road, 35+ mpg and won't lose me another £15k in next 3 years.

I think I will be keping it a while, the ED30 is an amazing car as standard and with a few tweaks it can be an absolutely amazing car.

Mk6 GTi - returned to leasing company after 3 great years and replaced with :

Mk5 GTi - Edition 30 - Revo 1 and some tweaks - 310 bhp. Its a better car than the Mk6  - Now sold and replaced with :

Mk6 R - Rising Blue 5 Door. Won't be standard 270bhp for long

Family Car : Mercedes ML420 with 360 bhp
Looking at Porsche Macan as replacement

I'm only 20 and my previous car was a 1.2 corsa so it's a huge step up for me so was gunna give it a couple of months before I considered anything like that! Just wanna get used to it for now.
