Wondering how the abs system works on the front , they have a wheel speed sensor in the hub but I couldn't see an abs ring , do they get their pick up from the wheel bearing ?
My issue is my outter cv joint snapped at the weekend and I replaced it and now have an abs light on with 00283 malfunction code
Just wondering if when the wheel bearing was unsupported if it damaged the pick up , as I know there won't e a separate code for the pick up , going to take tr sensor out check its clean withe a good gap and check wiring otherwise will have to replace it and go from there , just dont want to keep throwing money at it
