steering wheel lock with keyless system ?

It's released as soon the car is unlocked.

I think I read that it will release when the door unlocks, which for keyless is when you stand within 1.5m and touch the button on the door handle.  Same for the immobiliser, it is disabled at this point.

I'll try to find my source.

Unfortunately it means the car is easier to steal as you no longer need a cut key to unlock the steering, you only need to defeat the immobiliser, which if you check out YouTube, is not difficult.

Hopefully the MK7 will have a more secure immobiliser than the MK6.
