Jacking Points.
« on: 04 May 2013, 13:07 »
ok, this is a bit of a silly one.

where to people jack there car up and were do you put your axle stands?

currently I use the sils (at the ends were its reinforced) however sometimes its a bit of a squeeze to get the axle stand under when the jacks there :D

have used wishbones / rear beam before to put axle stands under but don't like doing that incase I damage it. and also cant do that when your doing suspension work.

noticed theres some jacking points actually under the car on the floor pan. these only suitable for use on a 4poster/lift?

Axel stands on the chassis rail at the front and the rear beam at the back
jack on the jacking points or subframe/rear wishbone bush on front, rear beam at back.
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...
