I currently drive a Scirocco 2.0TSi and have the GTI performance on order.

I've got no idea of how big the discs and callipers on the Scirocco are as compared to the enhanced braking on the performance edition.

Do you reckon there will be a noticeable increase in stopping power?

The brakes on the PP will be similar to the R32, Golf R, Audi S3, Scirocco R, Leon Cupra (and R) etc etc all of which came with much higher power than the GTI.
So yes, the brakes will be good. Very good.

Scirocco (and the new Standard MK7 GTI) have 312mm vented disc up front. The New performance pack GTI has 345mm discs.
