Cassette to CD

need some advice/help

ive acquired an old cassette album to which are nowadays like rocking horse sh it, and were only available in australia, its cost alot of money for hat it is, to get it

how do i transfer the music onto a cd from the cassette for better listening?

(the album is only available on cassette and record its that old)

^ That will do the job, but it won't be that good quality. And you'll only ever have mp3s off it, and mp3s aren't actually "CD Quality".

This one would be better quality, but if you're only wanting to do one tape, the it's probably not worth the investment.

If I was going to do it myself, I would connect my Pioneer Cassette deck (£300 in 1998) and connect it to my pro quality sound card and record it into the computer one song at a time.

If you have an old tape player or walkman can use a cable to line input (if your computer has one) from player then record using software such as Audacity or Sound Forge.

Quality should be ok

I have the Ion version of this as well as a USB Ion turntable,  they do the job for the money they cost but aaren't spectacular although they do come with software to tidy up the recordings.  As mentioned,  Audacity is also quite useful.
