I got a ebay chip and got it soldered in its feels way smoother and 2nd gear picks up speed faster and some extra mpg

you will gain very little so its not really worth it...get a 16v if you need more power

Id would love a valver a 5 door one but i would have to save up and by one and swap all my bits from my golf over

Half decent 16v can be bought for 500 quid

My only question would be i have a auto watch cat 1 alarm / immobiliser i was wondering if i drop a 16v in there the immobiliser will stop the new engine from starting
