MK1 Bump and Stop

After recently buying a MK1 GTI Campaign, I now feel the need to help the stopping power by upgrading the brakes. Also I want to drop it but without comprising the ride quality. Any suggestions?
P.s. I love my Campaign!!!!!!!

You could have a read of this thread -->

and go for a rear disc conversion. Other than that I guess it's drilled discs with good brake pads, but with the drums on the back I don't think they would make that much difference.
Dropping it depends on what your budget is and how much you want to spend.
