Bucket Seats
«

I have been given some bucket seats for the Golf, I have taken the front nearside seat to pieces and am looking at the possibility of welding brackets to the base of the original seat base to then bolt the bucket seat to it via the side mount fixings on the bucket seat.
Has anybody done this?
Would it be easier to buy some universal side mount brackets and drill the floor?
If anybody has done something similar it would be good to see some pictures of your seat set up.

I bought the dedicated sub frames from demon thieves and they were a cinch to fit.
Not too much dollar either

Blueandy, I will be doing the same I think, by the time I have welded bits to the seat base and probably blown holes in it, I would probably have bought the brackets anyway.
I am over in Wrexham in Monday afternoon so I can pick some up.
Thanks
