Leak to nearside door
« on: 02 October 2003, 09:57 »
:-\As a new golf Mk4 owner, i must say that the golf is the best car i have ever driven, just one small thing. We have just had the first serious rain since summer and i have a leak on the passengers door at the bottom near the hinge. Is this as common problem and is it fixed easily by dealers. (car has one year manuf warranty left).
Also rear brakes squeek when braking, i have booked in for rear brake service - is this a common fault.
Please let me know about leak.

I found my drivers side door leaked at the top seal at the first downpour a couple of weeks of owning the car (MK4).  I have 12 months warranty too, so took it back to the garage and the re-fitted the seals and everything has been fine (touch wood) since.
