help from AGU GUYS MISFIRE ON NUMBER 3
« on: 16 March 2013, 13:47 »
right i was driving my car other night sat parked up, went to pull off and suddenly my car started running on 3cylinders. i thought either coilpack or ignition control module. turns out after testing both they seem fine. there are 3 wires to each coilpack number 3 has live earth and a pulse, but there is no pulse, so i went to the ignition control module. no pulse/very very weak pulse on the wire, so this can only lead to a ecu fault am i right? my next stage is to check continuity between the corresponding wire and ecu pin out. i am lucky and at work i have vagcom and tolerance data and autodata all 2012 updated. so hopefullyt can find out which pin this leads to. has anyone ever had any ecu faults like im describing?

thanks in advance, kane.
