Panel filters
« on: 08 March 2013, 14:08 »
Hey guys

Just wanted your opinion on something. I brought the Carbonio cold air feed a while back and it comes with a Pipercross panel filter.

I just want to know if there are better panel filters out there than the Pipercross one that has been supplied?

Thanks in advance.
Mrk V, GTI, 3dr, DSG, heated seats, winter pack, cruise control, rear parking sensors and now thanks to GizzyWizzy and SteveP in the MK6 section a RCD 510. Awesome!

I have been warned off pipercross / foam filters as they dry out and particles from the filter can get sucked into the intake and turbo and over a period of time can lead to wear to the compressor.

That's the reason why you have to oil and clean them regularly with the supplied fluids. If you do that then a filter is a filter in most cases. Nowt special.
