So noticed lately that when I give my car some welly in first gear I get a grinding noise coming from the left hand side in engine bay...I can also get this noise sometimes in second gear but again only when I'm giving it some welly....
The noise doesn't happen in any other gear apart from 1st or 2nd and only occurs under hard acceleration. It's not traction control or wheels spinning as I've ruled that out.
Any ideas?? I was thinking inner CV joint however my mate has said gearbox....
Car's an 2000 AUM 1.8T....
