Are MK2 and MK1 seat subframes the same?

Looking at some seats for sale that come with MK2 sub frames. Will I need a new set of sub frames for my MK1 or are they the same?

they are the same i believe. i've seen alot of mk 2 seats in mk1's. actually come to think of it toofunkyhouse has just bought mk2 leathers and the fronts fitted in fine, the rears dont!

yes fronts are. back seats aren't though.
