Intro with a question
« on: 04 February 2013, 20:17 »
Hello as title says here is the intro. I brought my mk4 about 2 years ago and am well pleased with it, unfortunately i don't get to drive it much as my wife uses it daily for the drive to work.
Just before Christmas on the long drive home from work my wife had a little tangle with some local hedgerow and a ditch, she was fine just whiplash and hurt pride. The car on the other hand was not so good, mashed up front end but not completely destroyed just all the soft stuff at the front.

I have striped down the front end and had the bonnet and driver side inner wing pulled straight. I have managed to source
most off the parts but still cant find out which fan control I need, as the one on the car was smashed in the crash and now sits in a ditch somewhere I don't have a part number or code.

So the question is, Can any one tell me which fan control do i need for a T reg 1.8t 20v?

Thanks for reading and i hope someone can help me out.

post your engine code (3 letters on cam belt cover, also in service book and service sticker in boot) and if you have a/c. also post 10th letter of your vin so i can check for the correct model year.

Or go to vw and ask them for the part no and give them the reg.

would imagine vw would be cheepest and best quality parts so if it was me ide be buying it from there. but even if your not they will give you part no.
