Hi everyone

I had the engine warning light come on, on my 2002 Golf 1.8 T 20v GTI. I had a diognostics test done and it came up with two faults:
1) 17704 Error in mapped cooling system (Check temp-sensor and the P1296-35-00)
2) 17748 Camshaft position sensor (G40) Engine speed sensor (G28) P1340-35-00 Incor. Correlation
I got a new camshaft position sensor from GSF which I changed, had another diognostics test which cleared all faults! However within 5mins the engine warning light came on so I did another diognostics test and the same faults came up! Im having the cooling temperture sensor in the morning so will hopefully clear that fault! As for the camshaft position sensor I've changed it back to the old one and taken back the new one to GSF (To which they WONT just change it, it has to be sent away to BOSCH to be tested and if found faulty will then change it! Roughly 2 WEEKS!)
Im just a bit concered if its NOT the camshaft position sensor but something else!?
There no problems with driving etc, but clearly with this engine warning light being on its in "limp" mode so its probably not pushing out as much performance and or using more fuel!?
The cam belt and water pump were changed in September 2008 which was roughly 50k, my car is near to 95k and will be changing them both and full service when it reaches 100k around September 2013.
Cheers fellow Golfer's if you can please help me with this problem.
Steve.
