Loud Jetex
« on: 17 February 2013, 16:26 »

When I had fitted my Jetex I thought it was loud but for the past year I feel the exhaust has becoming louder and louder to the point where today on the motorway even my radio wasn't loud enough to drown out the drone

I've just sent off an email to Jetex but has anyone else had any issues or know how to go about the warranty? I think it's the back box which is faulty. Also if anyone has any sound clips they can easily upload to compare the noise it could help just to make sure I'm right. The one Youtube clip I found of a Red 16v is definitely quieter than mine.

At 70mph with slight throttle on a flat road it's loud, with slightly more throttle and under load still at 70mph, it's incredibly loud... this can't be right?

My Jetex non resonated full system with a decat is really quiet. Bit of noise at full blast, but tbh really quiet

Thanks for all the responses everyone.

Had to pick up my missus from her friend's place and they heard me coming with the music on in their living room... they live in a block of flats

I tried doing a video actually, but was caught up in too much traffic but I will get one up. Doesn't seem like there's many issues with Jetex being too loud on the net, everyone seems to be saying good things but hopefully they will get back to me with some good news.

Haha it could be touching the shell banging and scraping but I would never hear it over the droning noise!
It sits nice and tight and doesn't leak anywhere.

Read the Jetex site and it looks like I have to contact the place I bought it from to do a warranty claim. Also looks like the warranty is for the steel corrosion, doesn't mention anything about noises and bleeding ears
