Mk3 golf central locking problems, please help

Hi I've just bought a golf anni central locking didn't works so I changed the vacuum pump now the locking works...But when I lock the doors the boot opens and when I unlock the doors the boot locks. Can anyone shed some light on this issue..thanks.
