Not a fan of them myself,  especially on the dual chamber GTI headlights.  the shape of the inner reflectors have too many angles and cut outs making them look fussy and very un-OEM.  Tinted Vento lights look a lot cleaner when done.

I say do it! I really like the look, but maybe on a black golf standard will be better because it will have more contrast with the body colour. I'm a big fan of joeying. depends what look you want :)
