I just thought I'd introduce myself on here because I will probably be asking for advice/parts etc from time to time. I just bought a cheap and absolutely original early mk2 8v GTI as a little project to tidy up and either smoke/sell when it is done
It's a great car and I am looking forward to getting it looking fantastic again, I may do a build thread on here to log all the work carried out. Also it came with 100s of new old stock spares and consumables so if anyone needs any hoses, belts etc drop me a pm. I'll post a list when I have sorted it all out!
I'm massively into 80s cars and usually tinker with 928s so I am hoping the Golf won't cause me too much grief, either way it should be good.
