Need some help ASAP

Hi,

I have a 2.0 8v Golf GTI (2002), do these have track rod ends or tie rod ends? I am in the middle of replacing the brakes and I needed to replace the hob and accidentally hit the gaiter on the item, which is either the track rod end or tie rod.
