Testing, testing!
« on: 13 October 2012, 12:55 »
I have obtained a new set of clocks as the MFA and rev counter on current set only work when they feel like it. To test the new set I have unplugged the multi-connector from under the dash from the existing set  and just plugged the new set in without installing them. Switch ignition on and no temperature warning light, no MFA (clock works OK and obviously won't get a readout for mpg) start car and nothing from rev counter. Temp and fuel gauge work fine. Is there something else I need to do or is does that mean they are knackered? Also tried pulling the fuse to re-boot them but still no joy - did not expect that to work anyway since unplugging main connector has same effect.

Single pin 140 mph clocks into a PB btw.

check the printed circuit board on the back.

or just swap out the old mph binacle for the new 140mph one.
