Well, so I'm told Jetex or Sebring are the way to go....so I'm looking at ?297 + VAT for a Jetex stainless system for my 8v Mk3.  Check out jetex.co.uk for further info.

It can cost as much or as little as you want to spend, but My mongoose system has cost close to ?350 with the modifications I've had done to it - I suppose thats a good ball-park for a decent exhaust.
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

If you are neer a powerflow dealer get them to custom build the pipe in largest bore stainless should get 2.5" - 3". Mine is cat back coz it was too loud with no cat but they will do it straight through if you want. Should charge you for 2 mtr's of pipe and 2 hours labour. This was ?160 inc VAT for me at RSR in Redhill. Mine is a work of art, nice smooth pipe straight as can be on the mk3. The orig vdub pipe and centre box are so skinny and crap that a real performance gain can be felt here. The orig pipe goes round corners for god sake!!!

Anyway now you got the pipe work sorted you need a beefy back box. The Magnex twin DTM was build for the mk3 and sounds better than any other i have heard at my club or anywhere else. I think it is by far the best! It is expensive but not much more than you would pay anyway so... Obviously it is personal preference but i think most people would agree. Anyway the combo you get is Awesome.

Tis loud but not too loud, very, very bassy note and it pops and splutters like a tuned rally car coming down through the gears. Sounds like a TVR more than anything! Makes the whole engine sound super tuned! Miles away from the Nova SR's BLUUTTHHHHTHHHH sound!

Do it Geez!

I had a Milltek fitted to my 8v, you get the choice of twin pipes or single oval, I went for the twin pipes they look great & it isn't too loud.

Powerflow are gaining popularity as they seem to do a good job at an even better price. and the systems are hand made to your requirements.

other than that around 300 bar seems a good fiqure and no point getting anything other than stainless as it seems a bit of a waste getting an aluminsed system.

Stainless give you a better noise too.
