October 2012 Nurburgring photos
« on: 10 October 2012, 16:59 »
I don't believe I'm the only one with shots from last weekend.

Of those I shot the ones I'm least unhappy with are:

The Karussell on high F-stops

and low F-stops with a juicy early 911:

and a rather gorgeous Merc concept car thing that just happened to be going round on TF on Sunday:

Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Like the Karussel shot best! Looks like you could've done with a longer lens for the panning?

I was working with the 10-22mm, the 50mm prime and the 70-300mm, as I'd lent out my 18-55mm to a mate!

I've not had a chance to dice anything down and these are straight from the JPGs out of the camera, on a colour profile nearly as lairy as the 1/60second exposure I was running.

To be honest I rather prefer having more scenery around the car than just having a photo of 'a car'.  Obviously this works better when there's more of the curvature of the track in the shot than just the plain track, but I'm expecting a low number of keepers when playing on these settings - leave the 'stopped motion' shots to those who are just shooting commercially.

I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...
