Polo Tdi or cash??
« on: 19 October 2012, 22:38 »
was putting my golf up for sale, only got round to putting the for sale sign in window of car and within days had a phonecall and a viewing and deposit left, now the guy that's buying mine has only just bought a polo 1.9 tdi sport 55 plate 2 weeks ago, still not received paperwork but wondered if i would be into a straight swap my mk4 for the polo,he works offshore so has plenty cash to chuck about, recently wrote off a corsa vxr, webuyanycar offered him 2700 for the polo so i'm guessing in the real world its probably worth slightly more than those ripoff merchants offer

so basically are the polo's any good? any specific faults to look out other than normal stuff, its got fsh ,90k on clock, bodywork looks good or should i take cash ??

So the guy works abroad, bought a car two weeks ago and wants to downgrade to a cheaper car already. despite apparently having cash to throw around? Especially with no paperwork, I smell something dodgy personally. Checked for outstanding finance on the Polo?

yeah polo's hpi clear,if mine had been up for sale 2 weeks ago he wouldn't have gone for the polo, don't think he buys expensive cars as he seems to crash often lol, totally expect to see my golf in a ditch shortly after selling it,the main thing putting me off is it being diesel,i don't do a lot of miles only 2k last in the mk4 so think it might work out more expensive in the long run
