im going to retrim my door cards and seats. any advice?

ok i have decided to peel the fabric from my door cards as its almost off anyway and really saggy on my mk2 jetta.
and i am also going to attempt doing the seats aswell.

has anybody got any advice on doing this?
my plan on the door cars is to peel the old fabric off. clean up underneath. use spray glue on the door card and a light mist on the back of the fabric them lay the fabric on and then push into the grooved areas. is this the correct way of doing it?

Yer thats pretty much what you do, just work in samll areas and take your time.
For a bit of extra padding you could lay some foam on there aswell but it tends to look a bit baggy unless you stitch it. Ive tried doing diamond stitching and its difficult keeping things in a straight line.
