Hi i have a late 1.8, not exactly sure what front brakes it has, but they are the standard carrier bolted to the hub knuckle, and caliper mounted to carrier with two pins and two bolts. Unlike the 1.4 which has the caliper mounted directly to the hub. I have taken the front brakes off a MK3.5 cabby, which are slightly larger, they look exactly the same as the GTI but just 4 stud, any one know off hand if they are a straight swap? Everything looks the same, so i assume the carriers are a straight swap?
