150 gt tdi oil?
« on: 23 September 2012, 01:10 »
Hi guys, I've been looking around the net and forum to see what's the best oil to stick in my 150 gt tdi.
To be honest I'm just as unsure what to use
So I thought it's best to ask.
1st question: what's oil is best to use?
2nd question: how often should I change it to help prevent cam faliure?
3rd question: should I use an engine oil flush before the oil change?
4th question: will regular oil changes with the correct oil prevent cam faliure or is this just something the 150 suffer from regardless of taking precautions?

Cheers again lads,I know I'm a pain in the ass

1-VW Quantum PD oil
2-Every 10k
3-No
4-No, it seems it the manufacture of the followers which are to blame for the cam failure not the oil services.

Just go to VW, Parts are just as cheap as anywhere online and saves messing around
