charge notice advice #2 - bastard councils!!

drove into a pedestrian zone while lost in Croydon last Sunday, I was there for about a minute and they sent me this for (a 'reduced') £65!!!! is there anything i can do to get out of it??

No, if you ignore it eventually they will issue a non-payment of fine warrant ant youll get a massive fine!

No mate, it's an official council fine, they mean business.  Better paying the £65 fine than waiting and paying hundreds more.

Post up on peppipoo and see what they say. I've got away with lots if pcn's due to issues surrounding how they were issued.

Surely if you was lost you would pay more attention to your surrounding areas so signs etc... and driving through a pedestrian area should have been obvious?

Therefor you do the crimes you pay the fines

Write back requesting photographic proof before you pay anything since they say they have it.

Cheers mate, yeah was a good car. Away to its new home now though. But seriously regarding the penalty ask for proof, if they can't supply it then your not liable to pay.
