Hi

Hopefully this will be my last attempt with my car, yesterday whilst driving, it cut out on me 4 times, but then it'd start, and then cut out, so i have come to a conclusion to change the ECU Relay, Fuel Relay, Crank Shaft Sensor & Knock Sensor, as every other common fault has been rectified and the problem still exists.

Right i am wondering,

If i was to change the ECU Relay, Would i need to reset the ECU via VAGCOM?
If So, How do i do it, is there a step by step guide?

Also i am wanting to clean the throttle body, but i have read i would need to align the throttle body via VAGCOM, Again How do i do it?

And if i was to reset the ECU, are there any damages that can be caused?

Thanks, help really appreciated, but again this is my last crack at this damn car.

You don't need to reset anything just to change the ECU relay or clean the throttle body.
