mk3 golf 1.8 8v firing order

hi, wondering if anyone can help i have a mk3 golf 1.8 8v se and have been told that the firing order is 1-3-4-2 and 2-1
                                                                                                                                                           4-3 at the distributor but didn't go well lol so i think it is the wrong info,can anyone help

The correct firing order for a 1.8 8v is 1-3-4-2



Although on mine, 1 starts at the yellow block, and the black block is then 3.
So basically

1   3
  0
2   4
