Mk2 2.0 8v gti oil change capacity?

Im awaiting my haynes manual in the post as haven't found a definitive answer :/

was wondering if anyone could have a peek in their manual and see how much oil i need for a oil change with filter?

Also i've got a 2.0 bottom end so would that affect the oil capacity values, ie. do i quote the mk3 2.0 8v oil capacity figures?

3 and a half litres mate.....

If your doing the filter allow a little more.

pre fill oil filter before fitting, and then fill to halfway between min and max

You cant overfill, that what the dipstick is for, unless you are a dipstick!

best way on most cars is add 2.5 litres and then check the dip stick only time you need to know  how much oil you need is when your buying it really.
