GOLF MK3 VR6 vs TOYOTA MR2 TWIN ENTRY TURBO...

Hi

I would like to know what are your thoughts on the above cars,

I have both as well as a MK3 GTI, But i often have this convo with my brother on which is faster,

The MR2 is quick, But once the VR Gets going from 3rd gear upwards, i think the MR2 will struggle to pull away from the V6, lol

We've not tried racing it against the VR, But we raced the MR2 against my mates Glanza V, which is running 180BHP, and it was 2 car length's behind.

So he's giving it in to bolt a TD04 Turbo unit, which is off a Subaru Impreza, and his plans are running it 220BHP...

I ask the question if the VR6 will keep up, as it has more torque than the MR2 which has more BHP, But as we all know torque is the way forward.

my mr2 was running near the same as your pals wanting from his but there is no weight in the mr2
