Mk5 gti pirreli?
« on: 10 August 2012, 16:38 »
Hi everyone,
with the massive risk of offending enthusiasts(and sounding like a complete cock), i've bought a golf gti 58 plate. When i insured it, they said, yeah we have that as a black, golf gti, pirelli edition. To which i replied, yep its black and i think the tyres are pirreli. paid through the arse for the insurance and away i went. Now i want to get a blue fin remap, the guy asks me is it a pirelli or edition 30 or std gti? It doesn't say pirrelli and doesn't have tyre marks across the seats as it has full leather. Is there an easy way to tell before i spend £500 on the wrong sky remote thing for the remap?
Thanks in advance

Well my next door neighbour had a pirelli edition and it had a badge on the back and special alloys.

The Pirelli edition did have tyre printed seats, phone ya local stealer give them the chassis number and they'll tell you.

I reckon it sounds like it is and that's why you paid a little more for ya insurance.
