VW mods before collection-help and advice pls

Hi

I collect my GTi on September 1st.

I have read on the forum recently that there are mods available electonically ie alarm can beep when activated etc.

I really want to have a few mods done for collection by the dealer but I don't know if they would do them free of charge.  What do you think?

I want the alarm beep and the fog lights to work as cornering lights (as my current GT does).

Could you help with the codes etc that I could provide the dealer with.

That kind of thing depends massively on your dealer tbh, some are laid back and will do little bits for you just to keep you happy whereas others will only do the bare minimum thats required and sometimes not even that!

If you have a good relationship with yours then i don't see why not?

As said before they are criminals living off the back of Ross-Tech, selling cheap Chinese ripoffs, so it depends on how you feel about that..

get genuine VCDS end of the day you can sell it on eBay / a forum when you're done and recoup a lot of your costs

Dealer system is different to VCDS so unless someone here has access to the VW system its unlikly you will get the codes.
Most VW dealerships also have VCDS though.
Its a simple tick box operation if they use VCDS nothing complicated or codes.
