Front jacking points?
« on: 30 June 2012, 17:16 »
Hi. Can some kind soul take a pic of the underside of their mk4 behind the front end of the sill? I think mine is missing some rubber bungs and have a horrid feeling its been damaged by someone jacking it up in the wrong place!

I jack mine up on the subframe. Use a bit of wood to give it a flatter surface to stop the jack head destroying all of the undersealing...Although I have only just 'learnt' that last bit  :embarassed:

Thanks......  :undecided: I wasn't after advice on how to jack it up   I only use the strenthened section of the sill.  I've realised there's peraps some rubber bungs missing from the front end and where they should be looks a bit distorted.  Pop out and take a pic of yours underneath please mate, that would be helpful!

I use the point where the subframe bolts to the floor. My jack just fits under there
