Hi guys hoping some will be able to help I have a mk4.  Golf gti 1.8t n I need to upgrade the alternator so it can handle my audio install i have no idea on the out put on my standard on but what I would like is a straight replace ment can anyone help pleas?

not sure about uprated alternators for the 1.8t? i've never seen them but then again never looked for 1
could you not get an uprated battery from the likes of

would've thought if you get a highly powered battery capable of running all your audio gear you'd be able to run the car no problem?
