Mk5 GTi Cup Holder - what's it supposed to look like?

Hi there,

Can someone post a picture of the centre cup holder on their (or any!) Mk5 GTi please?  I need a shot with the sliding cover open.  I've recently got a Mk5 and it's just got a scruffy looking hole there with a rusty screw.  I've figured out I need the bottle opener/divider, but what else?  Probably rubber mats, but will I need some sort of plastic insert?  And anyone where I can get what I might need? 

(I'm new here so apologies if this is the wrong place for this.)

The UK one is flat and doesnt have the dip but you get the idea.

Thanks!  I'm a bit surprised there's no rubber mats in there.  Just looks wrong somehow.

There is a rubber mat. Mine one does anyway. I forgot because I have a memory like a fish. Ill try and remember to get one up later tonight.

...........you shure?. Both my GTI's have had the factory centre consol & both had the slight dip/rubber mat.

I've ordered what I hope is the right mat to fill the hole: 1K0863301B71N.  I think I still need something to go round the bottle opener cut out though.  I just have the nasty looking smooth plastic there right now.  I've not been able to find a part number for that though.

..........can't help with the part number mate but ''yes'' there is a rubber mate that sits in the bottle opener shape.
You got a bottle opener?.Loads on ebay if you need one & try & get the earlier all alloy one,looks much better than the cheaper plastic covered version.
