Just got a map done at Midland VW (MK5 GTI)
« on: 20 June 2012, 16:07 »
Hi guys.
Just wanted to post my early opinions on a remap done at Midland VW.
They don't have the same reputation as places like Revo and APR, but I have been going to them for service and engineering work for over 3 years now.
I don't plan on tracking the car, and just wanted something to give it some go and push the engine a bit more.
The car has a forge twintake, and an BCS turboback R32 exhaust. No other performance mods, other than brakes/quikshift.

First go on the rolling road and the car produced 201.6 bhp and 214.5lbs of torque (not bad for a 7 year old car and running 95 ron)
After a little while on the rollers, managed to get 238.2 bhp and 256.2lbs of torque.

Feels amazing to drive, and accelerates all the way through each gear.
An amazing map, and know that I have the after care as Jody wouldn't put his name to it otherwise.

Would recommend them to all in future!
