Wet start problem...

Right, got a problem, when it's been raining all day and the car hasn't been started it takes ages to start like 20 minutes half hour. Any ideas?

ht coil or distributor wet.
dry it up with hair dryer, when it's dry and dark take a spray bottle, start the engine and spray on ignition parts, most likely you'll see sparks flying somewhere, that's the culprit.

Ahh okay. Thanks mate. It starts eventually just only when it's really wet. Will give that a try though mate.

It's worked wonders on my gti. It used to splutter just from the spray on a wet day, but now it can run through puddles all day long without a hitch
