mates dad has one for a daily hack. had it for about 5 years, the only thing hes done is break pads and a service once a year (even though it covers 20k a year  :grin:)

I'm actually liking that and only down the road from me!

for your needs its ideal and i doubt anything else will come closer.

vag running gear, and 4x100 if you do wanna rim it  :laugh:

i had one, albeit petrol, ragged the crap out of it, just kept on going.

runnign mk2 golf steels, 185/60/14s made it handle better



didnt have to put fuel in it for months, and it produced vodka.

But it was my Loan car  :grin: :laugh:

Looking good chuff, just did a quote for myself, same to insure as the mk4 so not to bad. Also do SORN vehicles still need to be insured, the .Gov site makes no sense.

if it is offroad, and untaxed then NO, no requirement apart from the fact it could get torched or nicked  :lipsrsealed:

Good luck changing the spark plugs when you service the fabia :grin:
