Are you trying to install climatronic into a car with bog standard a/c?

Yes I retro fitted a/c a few years ago and even with a donor car it was a ballache

Not something I would ever what to tackle again but it might be worth you trying to find a donor car at least that way you have everything you need.

mad 4vw's has the ac pipes (engine side parts for ac) as he broke a mk3 gti 8v that had ac. also got a diagram from tps showing all the parts required so will mark off the parts that ive got and will chase parts that i will need.

So your going to need compressor, mounting brackets, condenser plus the twin rad fan set up, I would fit a new receiver / dryer plus all new o rings.

I think the radiator is different as well.
