I have managed to rack up a tidy 140K on my motor and finally the clutch has packed in - slipping like crazy now!
Anyway, i ordered a new clutch kit from a VW supplier in London who i get all my parts from. They have supplied exactly the correct kit for my car.
Thing is, it doesnt match the existing one and doesnt fit. The dowel holes on the old pressure plate do not match the new one! After a lot of messing around we have figured out that the existing pressure plate number seems for be for a 1996-2000 polo???!!!
Any body had any issues with getting a clutch for this mk and age of golf?
