I had one of these for over a year and it was the best car I have ever had, Much more reliable than my mk2 driver i've got at the moment. Injection so no starting probs, feels well nippy up to around 60 coz its got quite a short ratio box but does tend to whine a bit on the motorways but will still sit happily at 80/90. I had a H-reg GT, I can't realy say what to look out for because mine was mint, only reason I got rid was because I couldn't afford the insurance! The brakes are the bad point, they are pretty rubbish but you can replace the fronts with scirroco/g40 items which is supposed to make a huge difference. Handling can also be a bit rolly polly as standard but only a slight lowering sorts that out. In summary, I absolutely love these cars and if I got the chance i'd defo get one again. I had a silver one but imo, a metalic grey one is the one to go for, well nice colour!
