i'm off to the jet wash tonight to give the stuff under my bonnet a good clean (im blonde and refer to everything as stuff or thingy - surely you know what i mean  :undecided: ) LOL

is there anything i should avoid with the jetwash? obviously the battery.... will i need to disconnect the thingys? i've got half a field under my bonnet aswell as the other stuff thats meant to be there!!  :wink:

Any tips???  :laugh:

Avoid all electrical "stuff" the stuff with wires! especially the distributor thingy and the spark plug thingys too!
Also avoid airbox intake area.

theres loadsa bloomin' wires and cables under there.... hmmmm..... had the brake cleaner out the other day to get rid of a bit or field... but still a lot of field left!!!

d i dare do it? airbox intake? the spark plug thingys distributor thingys??? hmmmmm  :evil:

cover them with a plastic bag or clingfilm.
get some autoglym engine and machine cleaner. wash the engine when it's cold. the heat dries the cleaner out before it's done it's business. make sure you do it on the road as it'll leave oil and sh!t all over your drive otherwise.
might need to do it twice. work it into the stubborn areas with a old (or someone elses) toothbrush. you'll have a engine like gtijoes in no time ;) ;)
